MOVING EDUCATION forWARD

Partnering with global initiatives to provide better access to high-quality STEM education program resources, Grow Mind Learning Institute is on a mission to empower children and their families worldwide

Our Projects

Our first of many partnerships is with the Moving Windmills Project, a nonprofit organization, to support improving electricity access and STEM education for children in Malawi, Africa. The founder and director of Moving Windmills is William Kamkwamba, who brought his story to the world through the book & film "The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind" and through his TED talks. Moving Windmills is a fully locally-run organization with deep roots in the region where William grew up, and an in-depth understanding of how to address the needs of their local community.

Our goal is to raise $3000 to fund two projects:

Electricity Access - Build solar-powered electrical stations throughout the region to provide families with electricity for flour milling, device and motorbike charging. (Note: household electricity is not widely available.)

Innovation Center - Build a community center to serve students and provide STEM educational resources for local teachers serving thousands of students throughout the region.

We are excited to provide 2 rewards to donors:

Reward #2: Innovation Workshop

All donors will be invited to a 1-hour live online Innovation Workshop with Moving Windmills staff (date TBD at the conclusion of the fundraiser).

Reward #1: Give $20, Get $25
